Jennifer was born in Basildon, Essex, to a family with strong musical heritage – both her parents, grandmother and great grandmother were all accomplished singers. With this ancestral inspiration abundant in her formative years, Jen quickly discovered she too had the gift and began nurturing her innate talent through dedicating hours of practice, under her mother’s training. Often, three generations would be gathered around her grandmother’s piano, as Jennifer strived to perfect her technique.
Live performances soon followed as did audience appreciation. Picking up Brian Wilson as an admirer who personally asked Jen to sing with him, after hearing her in concert. Further teen solo performances followed at both The Royal Albert Hall and the O2. Quickly Jen was gathering a devoted audience, peaking thus far at a sell-out headline show at The Hippodrome Theatre, Leicester Square, in September 2015.
Having grown up with music from a different generation, Jen’s style took influence from the likes of Karen Carpenter and Barbra Streisand. Her timeless, magnetic performances emote so powerfully to her audiences, like the greats she admired, you’d be fooled into thinking she has more experience than her 21 years.
Jen has devoted her attention to developing her newly found talent to create original material – leading her to write and record a studio EP at Livingston 1, North London. This poignant and beautiful collection of songs is scheduled for release later this year and promises to be the first of many from this rising and very talented young woman.
